What does "Pro Arte" mean?

Pro Arte (pronounced "pro ARTay") is a Latin term which we take to mean, "For art's sake". We didn't invent the term. According to an Australian website, it is a term "popular around the world with musicians, [and] has long been used where groups form for the purpose of expressing their most personal musical interests largely unfettered by non-artistic considerations."

This is one of the reasons why we are offering tuition scholarships to our members -- so that no one is turned away because of financial reasons as long as one can demonstrate his/her artistry.

Of course, the art that we are referring to is music. This is why we have the slogan "... because we love music!"
