Chow Chi Chung is currently Assistant Principal Horn of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

Chow Chi Chung joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in September 2001 as Assistant Principal Horn. Chow has collaborated with many major artists such as Myung-whun Chung, Yo-Yo Ma, Isaac Stern, Yehudi Menuhin, Sarah Chang, Han-na Chang and Helen Huang, and has appeared on television and radio frequently. Internationally, he has also performed in many places all over the world, such as China, the U.K, the U.S.A, France, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
As soloist, he has performed with the KBS Symphony Orchestra, Pusan Symphony Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and SAR Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also served as Principal Horn of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Macau Chamber Orchestra, and Asian Youth Orchestra. He was the youngest ever Principal Horn player with the KBS Symphony Orchestra.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Chow began to play the horn at the age of seven. At fourteen, he was awarded a full scholarship to study at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (APA), in its junior programme. In 1991, he won the Aiwa Foundation Scholarship from the Asia Cultural Council to participate in the Aspen Music Festival.
After graduating from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Chow immediately began his orchestral career in 1993 as Associate Principal Horn of the KBS Symphony Orchestra (Korean Broadcasting System). He made his solo debut during his first year with the orchestra, playing Mozart’s horn concerto. In 1995, He became the youngest ever Principal Horn player with the orchestra.
In the field of chamber music, Chow has played in many different ensembles such as Yulim ensemble, Korea brass quintet, Ensemble Musika. He is also a member of Hong Kong Wind Kamerata, Eastern Winds Ensemble and Concerto da Camera.
