Guest Conductor: Maestro Geoffrey SIMON

Australian conductor Geoffrey Simon is resident in London and has appeared there with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra and English Chamber Orchestra. His recording, The London Cello Sound which was recorded under his own label Cala Records, has been performed live for H.M. The Queen (Elizabeth II)and H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh of the United Kingdom.

Internationally, he has appeared with the American, Atlanta, City of Birmingham, Bournemouth, Fort Worth, Milwaukee, St Louis, Sapporo, Shanghai and Tokyo Metropolitan Symphonies, the Israel, Moscow, Munich and New Japan Philharmonics, The Residentie Orchestra of The Hague, the six major Australian orchestras and the Australian Opera.

Horn: CHOW Chi-chung (Assistant Principal Horn, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra)

Chow Chi-chung joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in September 2001 as Assistant Principal Horn. Chow has collaborated with many major artists such as Myung-whun Chung, Yo-Yo Ma, Isaac Stern, Yehudi Menuhin, Sarah Chang, Han-na Chang and Helen Huang, and has appeared on television and radio frequently. Internationally, he has also performed in many places all over the world, such as China, the U.K, the U.S.A, France, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. More on CHOW Chi-chung...

周智仲於2001年9月加入香港管弦樂團為圓號助理首席。他曾與多位樂壇巨星同台演出，包括鄭明勳、馬友友、艾息．史頓、曼奴軒、張永宙、張漢娜、黃于純等。周氏的演奏足跡遍及世界各地，包括中國、英國、美國、法國、日本、台灣、新加坡、韓國、泰國及越南等多個國家，又經常在電視和電台上獻藝。更多關於周智仲...

Composer: Barry CONYNGHAM

Australian composer Barry Conyngham has received numerous awards, prizes and grants for composition, including Churchill (1970), Harkness (1972-74), Australia Council (1975), and Senior Fulbright (1982) Fellowships. He has an ARIA and two Sounds Australian Critics Awards. In 1997 his contribution to his country was recognised when he became a Member of the Order of Australia.
