Chan Tsz-yan received her Bachelor of Music from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2007, under the tutelage of Ma Cong and famous pianist Professor Eleanor Wong. Winner of the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation scholarships for two consecutive years during her studies, Chan started playing the piano at the age of four and joined the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as a junior student at the age of five. She has performed in various cities around the world include Sydney (Australia), Lyon and Paris (France), accompanying the Academy in 1996 and Hong Kong Treble Choir in August 2008. In the same year of 2008, she was invited to perform in musical “Around the World in 80 Days” as the keyboardist and was highly complimented by the conductor.
Last year, Chan joined Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong as a keyboardist and participated in the third stop of world premiere tour of Cala Tuent, a new work by internationally-famous Australian composer Barry Conyngham, under the baton of London-based conductor Geoffrey Simon who has conducted world-class orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra. Chan also minored in percussion during her studies, under the teaching of Katherine Huang.
此外,陳氏於2008年獲聘請為歌舞劇「八十日環遊世界」擔任鍵琴樂師,並獲該團指揮的讚賞及好評。另於該年8月隨同「香港童聲合唱團」前往法國里昂及巴黎市演出,並擔任注團鋼琴伴奏。陳氏去年參與Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong作鍵盤樂師,與曾指揮倫敦交響樂團等頂級樂團的駐倫敦指揮家杰弗里‧西蒙同台合作,為著名澳洲籍作曲家康寧漢教授的作品Cala Tuent作全球首演第三站(香港)的演出。
