A native of Seoul, Junghwa Moon Auer began her piano studies at the age of six. She did her undergraduate work at Yeonsei University, and obtained her MM degree at New England Conservatory with Gabriel Chodos in 1996. She participated and performed in the Aspen Music Festival and other prestigious summer programs in Chautauqua, Lucerne, and Prague. At the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati Moon pursued her DMA under Eugene and Elizabeth Pridonoff, and won CCM’s concerto competition, performing the Schumann Concerto with the CCM Philharmonia under Mark Gibson.
In 2001 Ms. Moon returned to Korea, where she performed frequently in Seoul, Busan and Gwangju and taught at Seoul National University. During this time she performed as soloist with the Janácek Orchestra in the Czech Republic, the Zilina Orchestra in Slovakia and the Cairo Symphony in Egypt. Junghwa Moon Auer has been living in Bloomington, Indiana since 2006, where she and her husband Edward Auer host a house concert series, “Music in the Woods,” in their home.
2001年,文氏回到家鄉韓國,屢次於首爾、釜山和光州演出,又於首爾大學任教。期間,文氏以獨奏者的身份與多個管弦樂團合作演出,如捷克愛樂管弦樂團、斯洛伐克的茜蓮娜管弦樂團以及埃及的開羅交響樂團。文晶和自2006年遷居至印第安納州的伯明頓居住,她與丈夫愛德華•奧爾在家中舉辦了一系列的迷你音樂會,名為“Music in the Woods”。
